USF Fluid Reservoirs Production molding for reservoirs is accomplished by the use of Toshiba and Husky presses. Reservoir parts are removed by the use of Sepro 3-axis robots, placed on a conveyor, de-ionized and sealed in bags and plastic returnables for cleanliness. Uppers and lowers are loaded into a five station automated assembly fixture, sensors verify switch and float presence and both pieces are welded using hot plate technology. Air proof testing is done to +/- 5 PSI. Hot plate welding, Julian date code, pressure decay & electrical testing are fully automated without operator intervention. | USF can supply rapid prototyping for fluid testing in 24-48 hours. We can also supply prototype tooling and production intent prototype parts once designs are completed. Current vehicles with USF reservoirs installed are DCX Minivans, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Ram, Ford Taurus, Mercury Sable & Saturn Vue. USF is currently working on several new prototype reservoirs scheduled for production in 2006-2007. We can offer design in CATIA, CATIA 5, IDEAS, IGES, Unigraphics and can transfer data most any medium. |
