SUMMARY Will ensure that USF Westland molds components in a manner that complies with all safety and quality guidelines while driving continuous improvement in cycle time and scrap reduction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Ability to trouble shoot and fix molds and equipment.
• Ability to establish process controls and maintain parameter set up sheets at the molding machines.
• Ability to work with process engineering and mold maintenance to effectively refurbish and maintain tools.
• Continuously improve the overall molding operation.
• Must have good problem solving skills.
• Will be responsible for investigating root causes of repetitive problems and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in cycle time and scrap reduction.
• Track mold changeover times and work with teams to achieve world class changeovers.
• Follow all USF Westland Quality guidelines and TS 16949 guidelines.
• Proper use of all PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Follow all safety procedures when changing molds, setting up molds, and making process adjustments.
• Provide training to operators.
• Maintain/improve housekeeping standards.
• Properly complete all production reports.
• Certified to drive a forklift and operate an overhead crane.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent, and must have prior compression molding, thermoforming, and vacforming experience (2-3 years preferred).
