SUMMARY To serve as an Operator’s support on the manufacturing floor, ensuring an unimpeded production flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Fill in for absent or late operators at start of shift.
• Check assigned area for any new quality alerts or containment actions and ensure operator compliance.
• Assist with training of new operators or existing operators on new jobs, documenting as required
• Maintaining workcell cleanliness (free of parts on the floor, label backing, runners etc.).
• Maintaining workcell organization (packaging, product, scrap, equipment, restock materials, etc.).
• Ensuring the operators are correctly completing all paperwork. (Most notably scrap and production reports)
• Taking over operator duties for all scheduled and unscheduled breaks.
• Alerting plant supervision of any jobs in section running at a slow or high defect rate.
• Productive use of any spare time (helping operators remove old labels, empty bailer, working in the hold area, etc.).
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
• Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
• Any other duties as assigned by plant supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
