SUMMARY Manage the activities of the Shipping and Receiving Associates to achieve optimal levels of productivity, quality, and safety to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Manage warehouse inventory.
• Attend daily production meeting to communicate any issues or concerns.
• Maintain 100% accuracy of all customer ASNs.
• Monitor and assist in cycle counting and auditing of warehouse inventories.
• Coordinate all warehouse activities including: customer bar code labeling and scanning; shipping and receiving procedures; and warehouse procedures.
• Oversee corresponding root cause analysis and corrective actions of any warehouse 8D’s.
• Ensure accountability and discipline by following plant procedures and rules.
• Evaluate warehouse equipment for process improvement and assist in any outside quotes as required.
• Report, as required, QOS measurables and related continuous improvements.
• Assist as required, plant activities to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
• Oversee the activities of material movement to effectively support plant operations.
• Coordination of new hire orientation for new Shipping and Receiving Personnel.
• Assure that all warehouse personnel are crossed trained in order to cover for vacation or absenteeism.
• Assure all inventory control procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Coordinate the movement of all materials to and from all outside warehouses.
• Assure all incoming product is received from vendors with correct label information and proper certification.
• Assure all outgoing finished product is shipped to the customer with the correct requirements.
• Responsible for timely shipping of product to avoid premium freight.
• Back-up Customer Service, Buyer/Shipping Coordinator, Inventory Analyst, and Shipping Coordinator.
• Coordinate the truck driver’s activities for any material needed to be picked-up or delivered in order to support plant production.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
• Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervise all Shipping and Receiving Associates. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s plans, policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training and motivating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. k) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
