As the COVID-19 event continues to evolve, we face new challenges. Michigan, along with other states now has a mandatory “Stay Home, Stay Safe” three-week shutdown. The shutdown extends this week through April 13th. To properly support this mandate, we will be limiting all Plant Operations to include our Corporate Tech Center.
OEM’s are positioning themselves as deemed “critical” which may override the shutdown mandates. The USF Operations Plan could then change, and we would resume some production activities to support the customers. We will continue to monitor these developments closely and continue to communicate our Plan.
Plant Employees, to include Salaried Staff, who will be working over the next two weeks will be notified by their Plant Management Teams. Tech Center Employees will support activities for the next two weeks with a week on/week off plan. All Tech Center Employees will be asked to work one week and then be laid off one week. We will schedule Employees strategically for each Department to have split coverage. Your Managers will contact you to schedule your work week and your off week. We are requesting you work from home during your work week.
Company and COVID-19 updates will continue to be communicated regularly on the US Farathane website. You will see a special tab labeled “COVID-19 Update”. Check the website regularly for weekly and often daily updates. We will also feature an FAQ (Frequently asked questions) section on the special page to help enhance communications to everyone.
USF Plant Teams can also receive updates by calling their respective Plant call-in numbers.
We appreciate and value each of you, and please know your safety and health are our number one priority. We are taking advantage of this downtime and deep cleaning all USF sites, to include the Tech Center, with outside professional cleaning services. We need to keep our Operations prepared so that we are ready to resume production to support customer requirements once this is behind us.
Thank you for your support during these unprecedented times. Take care of yourselves and stay healthy.
